Payment Dates For The Month Of April 2025

Increased Amounts Of Grants Applicable In April 2025:

  • Older Persons Grant (for beneficiaries over the age of 75): now standing at R2,330 per month. 
  • Disability Grant: now increased to R2,310 per month. 
  • War Veterans Grant: increasing to R2,330. 
  • Foster Care Grant: now at R1,250

  • Care Dependency Grant: now increased to R2,310. 
  • Child Support Grant: Increasing to R560 per month. 
  • Grant-in-Aid: Currently as of R560 per month. 

These proposed amounts aim to assist the beneficiaries in dealing with the ever-increasing cost of living.

Important Considerations

  • Modes of Collection: The funds will be available for beneficiaries at an ATM, at any of the retail outlets such as Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, or Boxer, or through the Post Office, as applicable.
  • Precautionary Measures:The beneficiary must always be careful with fraud and theft while collecting the grant, even though he may not normally be carrying cash.
  • Always Stay Updated: Whenever a beneficiary gets a new update on the SASSA activities, he/she ought to pay heed to it, or else he/she can check it with the nearest SASSA office.
